Job Description

We are a 65-year old family-owned appliance repair company seeking a motivated individual excellent in customer service, able to lift in excess of 50 lbs, possess a clean driving record and looking for a fun working environment with possible career advancement into appliance repair. You will represent our company in a professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction and support our broader team of ~40 individuals. This role does NOT require a CDL or commercial truck license. Success in this role can lead to internal growth within the company, including training as an luxury appliance technician, work in parts department or customer service. Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer satisfaction with homeowners, home personnel, business owners and other customers Deliver a variety of appliances (e.g., icemaker, oven, etc) to different addresses Follow routes and time schedules Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients' complaints Collect payments Inform customers about new products and services Complete logs and reports Follow DOT regulations and safety standards Skills Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver, preferably with appliances Valid professional driver's license Excellent organizational and time management skills Good driving record with no traffic violations Compensation: $17.50 - $23.00 per hour As an appliance repair technician, you'll work with anything from dishwashers to microwaves to dryers. In other words, you'll need to be fairly knowledgeable about large appliances, portable appliances, mechanical work, as well as electrical work. You'll deal with more than just appliances, though, as a repair technician, you'll have to deal with people, too. Appliance repair technicians must also have skills in high mechanical aptitude, have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, work adeptly with repair tools, be okay with lifting heavy machinery, and of course, be incredibly skilled in troubleshooting problems.
