Do you excel in engaging customers and adding value through an effective sales process? Vari® is seeking a dynamic and solution-oriented Federal Account Manager to join our Inside Sales Team. This full-time, client-focused role emphasizes both business development and account management. Your primary objective will be to generate new business opportunities and cultivate long-lasting relationships within assigned accounts, fostering lifelong fans.

WHAT YOU'LL DO Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management & Business Development: Manage existing accounts and identify new customer opportunities within a specific territory.
- Lead Qualification: Hunt for new customers and qualify project-based leads.
- Sales Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales Executives to promote and present Vari products, driving sales revenue.
- Customer Engagement: Deliver product presentations, support customer inquiries, manage projects, and provide outstanding customer experience.
- Solution Development: Identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions aligned with their strategic goals.
- Sales Process Management: Source new sales opportunities through outbound tactics leveraging our lead generation tools.
- Customer Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with current customers in your book of business, including follow-on sales.
- Customer Support: Respond promptly and courteously to customer inquiries.
- Collaboration on Complex Projects: Team up with field sales members and leaders for strategic projects.
- Proposal Preparation: Prepare solutions, pricing, and bid packages independently or in collaboration with Sales Executives and/or RFP Manager.
- Customer Loyalty: Develop deep customer relationships, creating lifelong Vari fans
- CRM Management: Accountable to accurate and up-to-date information in Salesforce.
Requirements
HOW YOU'LL GET THERE - 1-3+ years of relevant sales, account management or business development experience
- Experience managing federal government business preferred
- Gifted in verbal communications and relationship building
- Skilled at delivering engaging presentations and communicating information clearly
- Ability to build rapport of the phone or email
- Strong active listening skills with the ability to empathize with the needs of the customer
- Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM and other relevant business software tools
- Proven track record of consistently achieving assigned sales quotas
