Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and thoughtful Lead Copywriter to join our dynamic Creative / Marketing team. As Lead Copywriter, you will play a crucial role in shaping our brand voice and narrative across various marketing channels. You will be responsible for crafting compelling and engaging copy for B2B and B2C marketing initiatives, corporate communications, website content, social media, email campaigns, and other copy-related, high-impact collateral.

  • Ensure all copy is accurate, grammatically correct, and aligns with brand guidelines and tone of voice, maintaining consistency and coherence across all communication touchpoints.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and other stakeholders to develop integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversion, ensuring that copy and design elements complement each other effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in copywriting, content marketing, and healthcare industry trends, continuously refining and optimizing our copywriting strategies to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Develop, maintain, and advance the brand identity of HealthStream through the strategic use of copywriting techniques and tactics, ensuring that our brand remains relevant, distinctive, and impactful in the minds of our target audience.
  • Explore and implement efficiencies in copy creation processes using Microsoft products like Word and PowerPoint, developing templates and guidelines to streamline content creation workflows and enhance collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Utilize, research, and own AI technologies to enhance copywriting throughput and efficiencies team-wide while maintaining the HealthStream brand voice in collaboration with AI use.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working for an in-house creative and/or marketing team, creative agency, branding agency, or advertising agency, particularly handling a large enterprise brand with a complex structure of subsidiary brands. Healthcare and/or SAAS experience preferred.
  • Proven track record as a copywriter, preferably in the healthcare or SAAS industry, with a portfolio showcasing strong copywriting skills and creative storytelling abilities.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all written content.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, storytelling, and creative concept development, with the ability to translate brand objectives into compelling and persuasive copy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, project management systems, and content management systems (CMS), with the ability to adapt quickly to new tools and technologies.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and principles of content optimization, with the ability to incorporate relevant keywords and phrases into copy to improve search engine visibility and performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present ideas persuasively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
