OR Nurse

Location: Bridgewater, NJ

Employment Type: Full-time, Tuesday-Thursday, 7 am-6 pm (No Weekends)

Compensation: $100,000 - $105,000 plus bonus opportunity

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced OR Nurse to lead patient care operations at our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in Somerset County. This role requires a strong commitment to clinical excellence and effective collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and ASC specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile operating room environment.
• Assist the surgical team and monitor patient vitals during procedures.
• Document all aspects of the surgical procedure, including the patient's condition and any medications or fluids administered.
• Oversee patient care activities, ensuring adherence to protocols and best practices.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinate with vendors to support seamless surgical operations.
• Provide high-quality patient care across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases.
• Offer guidance and support to nursing staff, particularly in complex cases.
• Participate in continuous education to stay current with nursing practices.
• Assist ASC leadership in setting and reviewing operational goals.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and AAAHC standards.
• Promote patient safety by identifying and mitigating risks.
• Manage OR schedules to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
• Work with procurement to ensure adequate inventory of surgical supplies.
• Oversee staffing schedules for effective resource utilization.
• Conduct daily/monthly Environment of Care (EOC) checks to ensure protocol adherence.

Qualifications:

• Current New Jersey State Nursing License.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 5 years of perioperative nursing experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.
