General Summary

The UI/UX Designer is essential in crafting engaging and user-friendly digital experiences for our websites and applications. This role involves strategizing, designing, and refining the user experience and visual design of digital products. The designer ensures high standards of usability and design excellence that align with business goals and prioritize user needs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

UX Design:

  • Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.

  • Develop user personas and user journey maps.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and developers to create clear and intuitive information architecture.

  • Design organized and detailed wireframes.

  • Iterate designs based on user feedback to continuously improve usability.

UI Design:

  • Create visually appealing and cohesive interfaces that adhere to brand guidelines.

  • Contribute to branding and visual identity efforts.

  • Develop high-fidelity prototypes using tools such as Figma.

  • Ensure all digital products are accessible and comply with WCAG standards.

  • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure design feasibility and address any technical constraints.

Job Specifications

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in usability testing methods and the ability to conduct effective user research.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices (e.g., WCAG).

  • Solid understanding of responsive design principles and best practices.

  • Experience in creating and maintaining visually appealing and cohesive design systems.

  • Advanced proficiency in Figma for wireframing and prototyping.

  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Primarily office-based with some flexibility for remote work. Collaboration with teams across various departments is essential.
